New Apps I'm playing with (iOS)

Sublime app

Not twitter, not pocket, just a place to share some interesting quotes, links and images, with a loose social component. A very neat feature is the ability to import your kindle highlights / notes. Still working on integrating it to make it more useful for me. It shows a lot of promise because I’ve always wanted a place to revisit all these snippets of information that I get from everywhere on the web and be able to access and share it from anywhere.

Delta emulator (iOS)

Now that Apple has allowed emulators, there’s a few out there. For anything Nintendo related I’ve been playing around with Delta for the past couple of weeks on my iPhone and iPad mini. It works well for everything from NES, SNES, but may have a little trouble with some 64 titles — even then it’s been a blast to revisit these games from my childhood. The built-in skins for the controllers is a nice touch.

Soundmap

Anyone who knows me knows, I love music. I also love when app makers try something clever and I’m really surprised this hasn’t been done before. Basically, it’s a real map of where you’re located with song “drops”. Walk to a drop to pick it up and discover some new music. They also provide daily drops to keep you engaged with new music that you can trade or keep. I love discovering new music.
