American Dispatch from Vietnam 02
Grab Food is back. I might have deep dish pizza for dinner. Went for a long walk today to pick up my passport from the Visa lady. Was startled by some water buffaloes when I was walking along the river and went to take a picture — I think they were surprised to see another person as well by the way they looked at me.
I have bacon and eggs in my fridge. Made some Prik Nam Pla last night. Life isn’t bad, for me.
I can speak for me, I can’t speak for the drivel on Twitter, Facebook, Podcasts, and Television. It’s not all drivel — there’s truth out there, there’s people doing real work. But more people are dying and gonna die, mass graves in a potters field in the Bronx, NY. Yemen has it’s first case and you gotta wonder how it got there. Myanmar is going to get devastated and we won’t hear about it. Yet, there are still a lot of deniers — individuals living in denial who can’t seem to come to terms with the pandemic or America’s response (lack thereof) and think this is a farce along with 5G — they’re gone, they’ve been sucked down the rabbit hole and they won’t wake up until they’re directly affected by the pandemic — it is what is. We’re no longer at a point to change peoples minds by blasting info to them on Facebook, Twitter or wherever. Life will move forward until we hit that immovable object. Abjectified. It is what it is.
